6. COOKIES AND SIMILAR TECHNOLOGIES

6.1 What are cookies?

A cookie is a small file that websites place on your browser or computer's hard drive when you first visit them.
The cookie contains a unique code that enables your browser to be recognized during your visit to the website ("session cookie") or on future repeated visits ("permanent cookie"). Cookies may be placed by the server of the website you are visiting or by partners with whom the website collaborates. A website's server can only read the cookies it has set itself; it has no access to any other information on your computer or mobile device. Cookies are stored on your computer or mobile device in your browser's directory. The contents of a cookie generally consist of the name of the server that placed the cookie, an expiry date and a unique encrypted code.

6.2 WHAT ARE COOKIES USED FOR?

Thanks to a cookie, our website can recognize you while preserving your anonymity. The website takes note of your preferences and automatically adapts to your wishes. But this information is in no way linked to your name or identity.
Cookies can also be used to make website content or advertising more targeted to the visitor.

6.3 WHAT TYPES OF COOKIES ARE USED?

- Performance cookies
We automatically collect certain information about your computer hardware and software. This information may include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, Internet Service Provider (ISP), files viewed on our Site (e.g. HTML pages, images, etc.), operating system, clickstream data, access times and referring website addresses.
This information is used by Symbio to maintain the quality of its services and to obtain general statistics on the use of the Website. For these purposes, we associate this automatically collected data with Personal Information such as name, e-mail address and telephone number.
- Commercial cookies
Our Site uses cookies which, depending on the pages you visit, keep up to date with products or services likely to be of interest to you. Thanks to these cookies and the means of the Google advertising network (Google AdWords, Google Analytics, the Google Display network and DoubleClick) and Meta (Facebook, Instagram), we are able to show you advertisements for targeted products and services on other websites that are part of these advertising networks. This technique is known as "retargeting". These cookies do not contain any personal data.
- Web beacons
We use a software technology called web beacons (also known as web spyware or web beacons), which helps us to manage the Website better by telling us which content is most effective.  Web beacons are very small images with a unique identifier, performing a function similar to cookies, and used to track the online movements of web users. Unlike cookies, which are stored on the hard disk of the user's computer, web beacons are integrated invisibly into web pages or e-mails. We use web beacons in our HTML e-mails to identify which e-mails have been opened by recipients. This enables us to measure the effectiveness of certain communications and, more generally, of our marketing campaigns. We associate the information collected by the web beacons placed in the e-mails with our customers' Personal Information. If you do not wish to receive these e-mails, you may withdraw your consent at any time and we will stop sending you e-mails.

6.4 HOW DO I REFUSE OR DELETE COOKIES?

In your browser settings, you can refuse the installation of cookies. You can delete cookies already installed on your computer or mobile terminal at any time.

7. Data retention

We undertake to comply at all times with current data protection legislation as regards the retention of your personal data. We will only keep your Data for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or to comply with any applicable legal obligations.
Your Data will be retained until you terminate your subscription to the service.
For further information on the retention of your data, please refer to article 11 "Contacting us" of this Privacy Policy.
