- Symbio unveils its industrializable StackPack™ 75 hydrogen fuel cell system at Tokyo’s H2 & FC Expo from February 19 to 22.
- The new StackPack™ 75 features state-of-the-art performance in terms of compactness, operating temperature, and modularity.
- This technology is specially designed to meet the intensive uses of buses, coaches, trucks and handling and construction equipment with enhanced durability.
A 75-kW optimized fuel cell system tailored for intensive mobility.
With its 75-kW power output, the StackPack™ 75 fuel cell system is specially designed for heavy-duty use in urban and intercity buses and coaches, light and medium trucks, as well as off-road handling and construction equipment, offering an overall market-reference performance, and notably in terms of:
- Best-in-class compactness: with a volume of 268L and a mass of 200kg, it underpins maximum payload, range and ease of integration.
- High operating temperature (85°C) improving heat dissipation efficiency and reducing cooling capacity requirements. As a result, the size of the cooling system and its fan power are also reduced, facilitating vehicle integration and saving energy.
- Extensive modularity to meet all technical and operational specifications including the possibility of combining two or more StackPack™ in a single vehicle to deliver requested power output.
Symbio technology is designed to deliver the best performance/competitiveness ratio over ten critical performance dimensions. That holistic performance approach enables to define the best solution for each application, optimizing total cost of ownership throughout the vehicle lifecycle, achieving optimal performance without oversizing.
Ready for industrialization in Symbio's IATF-certified gigafactory.
Symbio’s new StackPack™ 75 is ready for large-scale production at Symbio's SymphonHy gigafactory, the largest site dedicated to the development and production of hydrogen fuel cells in Europe. The site has obtained the IATF 16949 letter of compliance on the Design and Manufacturing perimeters, testifying to the Group's technological and industrial maturity. Symbio is the first player in fuel cell technology in Europe, and the second worldwide, to obtain this certification (*). SymphonHy and the development of the StackPack™ 75 technology have been supported by France Relance / France 2030 through the Hy2Tech Important Project of Common European Interest (IPCEI) hydrogen program, aiming to foster the development of high-performance and competitive solutions to promote sustainable and efficient zero-emission mobility.
